OCT 28 - TOKYO. 
What to do on your free day today?  Catch the shuttle to Disney Sea?  Or shop?  There’s Decks Tokyo Beach, Aquacity Odaiba, DiverCity Tokyo Plaza including Gundam Front Tokyo with a giant robot!  Or see what’s new with Fuji TV, Toyota, and Panasonic?  Or explore the Maritime or Emerging Science museums?  Welcome dinner tonight.  [BD]

OCT 29 - NIIGATA/SADO ISLAND. 
To the otherside of Japan - across the Japan Sea to Sado, once the isle of exile.  Visit the Sado "gold & silver" mines and tonight - tatami rooms, yukatas, Japanese dinner & haunting "okesa" music and dances.  OHSADO HOTEL [BLD]

OCT 30 - SADO/KANAZAWA. 
More Sado sightseeing - visit Nichiren's Myosenji Temple and the burial site of Emperor Juntoku.  A return crossing to Honshu & Kanazawa, for 2 welcomed days.  Convenient city-center accommodations.  ROUTE INN KANAZAWA EKIMAE [BLD]

OCT 31 - KANAZAWA. 
Visit Kenroku Park in Kanazawa, 1 of 3 most beautiful - to Kaga Village for lunch & demonstrations in Kutani pottery, lacquerware, gold-leaf artistry and shopping.  A 2nd night in Kanazawa and a Saturday night hotel dinner.  [BLD]

NOV 01 - AMANOHASHIDATE/MIYAZU. 
This morning, drive to Amanohashidate, the "Bridge of Heaven," of myths & legends, a narrow 2-mile sandbar enclosing the Bay of Miyazu, 1 of 3 most scenic sights in Japan.  To nearby Miyazu Hot Springs, on the shores of Miyazu Bay, arriving in time for hot springs baths and a Japanese seafood “kaiseki” dinner wearing “yukatas” provided by the hotel.  This evening, sleep on comfortable futons in tatami rooms.  MIYAZU ROYAL HOTEL [BLD]

NOV 02 - TOTTORI/YONAGO/MATSUE. 
See the vast Tottori sand dunes, an oddity in the manicured Japanese landscape. After lunch in Yonago, to Matsue, known for its association to Lafcadio Hearn, an 1891 school master and author of "Kwaidan," a collection of Japanese ghost stories (which has been made into a movie).  Visit his museum and majestic Matsue Castle.  City-center accommodations in Matsue.  MATSUE TOKYU INN [BLD]

NOV 03 - OSAKA. 
Drive the Yonago and Chugoku Expressways through Okayama & Hyogo-kens to Osaka, our final stop on our journey to the otherside of Japan.  Last minute shopping at the Kintetsu Department Store next door.  Farewells at dinner.  SHERATON MIYAKO HOTEL [BLD]
