 Summer Hokkaido "with Fields of Flowers" - For those who think the Snow Festival in Hokkaido is too cold for you - this may be more to your liking!  The weather in Hokkaido in the summer is perfect for a multitude of magnificent flowers (and people too!)!  Besides the 1,000s of flowers, we'll take you to see the volcanic Lake Shikotsu; Shiraoi Ainu Village, to learn about Ainu culture; to "gorge-ous" Sounkyo Gorge, with it's steep rock walls and amazing waterfalls; discover "marimo" on Lake Akan - what are "marimo?" - come and find out!  We'll serve you some of the "King Crab" that Hokkaido is known for; and take you to a Sake Museum, where you may try some samples.  For those brave of stomach, a chance to try Furano's "black cheese," made with squid ink!  For sumo wrestling fans - a stop at the Sumo Museum in Kawayu should not be missed!  To take away the stress of all that sightseeing - 2 opportunities for hot springs baths at Lake Akan and Tokachi Onsen.
