SEP 17 - THU - DEPART LOS ANGELES.  Overnight flight to Geneva.  Cross the Dateline - lose a day - and arrive Geneva tomorrow.

SEP 18 - MONTREUX. 
Welcome to Montreux, located on the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva to begin a 6-night stay at the elegant and famous Fairmont Montreux Palace.  Tonight join everyone for a welcome dinner.  FAIRMONT MONTREUX PALACE  [D]

SEP 19 - GENEVA - CASTLE OF CHILLON - WINE TASTING. 
Enjoy a Geneva City Tour to see the Jet d’Eau (400 ft. high waterspout), the famous Flower Clock and the United Nations Building.  Time in Geneva for lunch, shopping, and/or a café experience.  After lunch, tour the 12th century Chateau de Chillon, a fascinating castle on Lake Geneva made famous by Byron’s epic poem, “The Prisoner of Chillon.”  Later, drive along the “Corniche,” through vineyard villages to experience a Swiss Wine Tasting.  In these villages the “Lavaux” wine growers live and press their own grapes. This evening dinner is included.  [BD]   

SEP 20 - ZERMATT. 
Travel through the Rhone Valley to Tasch and board a Cogwheel Railway for a short trip to this famous alpine resort. Zermatt is situated at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn, one of the world’s most famous mountain peaks.  Free time to explore the quaint town.  Maybe, on your own, ride up to the Gornergrat (weather permitting - 10,130 ft above sea level) offering incredible views of the Matterhorn and 29 of the highest peaks in Europe.  [B]

SEP 21 - BERN - INTERLAKEN. 
This morning visit Bern, the beautiful capital city of Switzerland, one of Europe’s most picturesque cities & registered as a UNESCO historic site.  Enjoy a Bern city tour to see Bear Pits, the House of Parliament, the Rose Garden and the impressive Cathedral.  Leisure time for lunch, strolling or shopping.  This afternoon stop in Interlaken, a charming town situated between Brienz & Thun Lakes, surrounded by incredible mountain scenery.  [B]

SEP 22 - GOLDEN PASS TRAIN TO GSTAAD - GRUYERES. 
All aboard the Golden Pass Train and travel from Montreux to Gstaad.  Sit back, relax and take in the panoramic mountain scenery enroute to the small resort village of Gstaad. Later, by motorcoach to the charming hilltop village of Gruyeres, famous for its 12th century castle.  Next, visit a Swiss Cheese Dairy where you can see cheese being made and taste the finished product.  [B]

SEP 23 - MONTREUX. 
Enjoy your last day in beautiful Switzerland on your own.  Free to relax, explore or do some last minute shopping.  An optional 2-country excursion is available to France & Italy. Tonight a Farewell Dinner with everyone at a special local restaurant.  [BD]

SEP 24 - THU - HOMEWARD BOUND. 
A flight from Geneva, & then a connecting flight to Los Angeles.  Arrival home is the same day.  [B]
