JUN 22 - MON - DEPART LOS ANGELES.  Overnight flight to Tokyo.

JUN 23 - TOKYO. 
Evening arrival.  Transfer to our accommodations located in the convenient Shinagawa district of Tokyo.  Refreshing Bento & tea provided in the privacy of your room.  KEIKYU EX INN [Bento]

JUN 24 - TOKYO. 
Breakfast is included each morning on tour.  Morning orientation tour of the capital - to the Sengakuji Temple of “47 Ronin” fame, past Tokyo Tower, Imperial Palace Plaza and bustling Asakusa shopping area - time to browse & shop.  Welcome dinner at nearby Restaurant.  [BD]

JUN 25 - TOKYO. 
Leisure day in Tokyo.  Time to explore the big city on your own.  Perhaps to the glitz and glamour of the Ginza, the hottest electronics in Akihabara, hoppin' Harajuku, Shinjiku & more - all available on the convenient Loop Line from Shinagawa.  For the more adventurous, Disneyland, Disney Sea, or even a Baseball Game!  [B]

JUN 26 - TAKAHASHI. 
Flight to Osaka and on to Bitchu Takahashi.  Explore a charming castle town of samurai homes, temples and gardens, designed by master designer Kobori Enshu.  KOKUSAI HOTEL [BLD]

JUN 27 - MIYAJIMA/HIROSHIMA. 
Morning drive to Hiroshima - visit the Isle of Miyajima, often pictured with its red torii gate rising from the sea, 1 of 3 most scenic sights in Japan.  To historic Peace Park & its Museum.  City-center accommodations.  WASHINGTON HOTEL [BLD]
 
JUN 28 - OKAYAMA - KOBE - MAIKO. 
Visit Korakuen Park, 1 of 3 most beautiful gardens in Japan.  Then to Kobe & Maiko for dinner & accommodations, with scenic vistas of the Seto Inland Sea and the new Akashi Straits Bridge spanning the Inland Sea.  MAIKO VILLA [BLD]

JUN 29 - NARA/KYOTO. 
To nearby Nara, ancient capital of Japan.  Feed tame deer in Nara Park and visit the giant solid bronze statue of the Daibutsu in Todaiji Temple.  To neighboring Kyoto for 2 welcome days.  Kyoto sightseeing - Nijo Castle, with its nightingale floors, the exquisite Gold Pavilion, mirrored on its pond and Fushimi Inari Taisha, with its 1000+ red torii gates climbing Inari Hill, with its giant Foxes guarding the Shrine. JUN 30 - KYOTO. 
A leisure day in the old capital, Kyoto - explore the Shrine city, known for its 2,000 shrines and temples - on your own - and perhaps browse and shop in Kyoto’s downtown Nishiki Market Street, Tera-machi Arcade and Kyoto’s Broadway - Kawara-machi  all nearby.  [B]

Summer Tour disbands after breakfast.  [B]
