MAY 10 - SUN - LOS ANGELES/NEW ORLEANS.  Flight to New Orleans.  Settle in to our home for 3 nights, in the “Jazz Capital of the World.”  SHERATON NEW ORLEANS

MAY 11 - NEW ORLEANS.
No better way to get into the sights and sounds of New Orleans’ French Quarter than on a walking tour.  See the famous St. Louis Cathedral, explore the French Marketplace, and learn about Pirate history in Pirates Alley.  Of course, beignets and coffee at Café Du Monde are a must!  Tonight, a chance for hands-on learning about the region’s cuisine at the New Orleans School of Cooking.  [BD]

MAY 12 - NEW ORLEANS.
Countless movies have been filmed in the mysterious setting of Louisiana’s swamplands.  As you cruise these iconic bayous, keep watch for local wildlife - herons, bald eagles, turtles, and of course, alligators (they’ll be watching for you!).  So much more to see and do this afternoon - the choice is yours.  [B]

MAY 13 - NEW ORLEANS/MEMPHIS.
Today, head north to Memphis - the “Home of the Blues” and the “Birthplace of Rock and Roll.”  Claiming more than 100 barbecue joints, Memphis is also known for its own version of this special treat.  Taste the difference at a local restaurant tonight.  SHERATON MEMPHIS.  [BD]

MAY 14 - MEMPHIS/GRACELAND.
For an “only in Memphis” experience, Beale Street musicians will board our motorcoach to carry you away with a lively rendition of the city’s musical history and heritage.  Then, on to Graceland - Elvis’ 14-acre, estate.  Tour the mansion that he called “home” for 20 years - the living room, kitchen, TV room, pool room, Jungle room, his father’s office, and then the Trophy Building, Racquetball Building, and finally, the Meditation Garden, where he and his family members have been laid to rest.  Plenty more of Memphis to discover on your own for the rest of the day.  [BD]

MAY 15 - MEMPHIS/NASHVILLE/GRAND OLE OPRY.
Memphis to Nashville - the path taken by many.  From fiddle music on the banks of the Cumberland River in the late 1700’s, to “Music Capital of the World,” music has been the soul of Nashville.  Tonight, we visit the famous “Grand Ole Opry” to take in a show, followed by a backstage tour.  GAYLORD OPRYLAND RESORT   [B]

MAY 16 - NASHVILLE.
A chance to see the old studio where Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Charlie Pride once recorded hit songs - the historic, RCA Studio B.  Also, did you know there was a full-scale replica of the Parthenon, in Nashville?  We’ll take you there and more, on today’s sightseeing tour of Music City.  [BD]

MAY 17 - SUN - HOMEWARD BOUND.
Return home with lots of music and memories to treasure.  [B]
